Merry Minutes
The Gift of Time This Christmas.
The Rainbow Centre to respectfully ask for a gift with meaning this Christmas. Instead of the usual presents under a tree scenario, we’re looking to secure something money can’t buy.
Our Merry Minutes campaign looks to give the gift of time during our many events scheduled for 2024 all benefiting our Conductive Education support for children and adults living with neurological conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, or those who have suffered a stroke or head injury.
Our aim for 2024 is 100,000 volunteering minutes across the year.
Through a specialised system of learning known as Conductive Education, we provide intensive rehabilitation to allow children and adults to be as independent as possible boosting their confidence, self-esteem, and overall quality of life for the whole family.
The friendships made between children, parents and adults last a lifetime and are instrumental in reducing feelings of isolation and depression. We are very passionate about ensuring that our services are available to these inspiring individuals who face incredible adversity with sheer determination and a smile on their faces.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, last year we helped 54 adults and 48 children with neurological conditions from Hampshire and the wider Wessex region in need of support, at a time when they felt particularly isolated and vulnerable.
We are hopeful that you may consider supporting us to reach our target of 100,000 minutes through our Merry Minutes campaign this Christmas ready to make a huge impact in 2024. Our events include:
– 26th January: Burns Night 240 minutes per person
– June: Open/ fun day 360 minutes per person
– 5th July: Casino Royale Evening 300 minutes per person
– 20th July: 10k inflatable run 300 minutes per person
– 23rd- 25th August: Victorious Festival 240 minutes per person

How about using your Merry Minutes to help us make the Centre a better place for our participants through painting a fence, planting a herb garden or stocking supplies for our
stationary/ well-being stocks.
If you think this sounds like something you would like to get involved with as a team or individually, we would love to hear from you!
