Walk The Test Way in 2023 for The Rainbow Centre
Please choose The Rainbow Centre to walk for in this brilliantly run event! The walk is suitable and fun for all ages and abilities and you’re able to choose how many miles you wish to walk.
Distances to choose from are as follows:
- 25 miles – St Mary Bourne
- 16 miles – Wherwell
- 11 miles – Stockbridge
- 8 miles – Horsebridge
- 5 miles – Mottisfont
Walkers are taken by private coach from Romsey to their starting location and will end the walk in Romsey’s Memorial Park where there’ll be a warm finish-line welcome and a medal!
The walk is well signposted and fully marshalled. Dogs are welcome on a short lead.
Registration Fees, check-in and Transport Registration: £15 (£8 for under 18) Payable in advance Prior to the walk you will be given a time to check-in at Crosfield Hall, Broadwater Road, Romsey, SO51 8GL. Free transport will take you from there to your chosen start point. There is ample free parking in Romsey on Sunday. Distribution of sponsorship donations If you are using the Rotary Club of Romsey Test Just Giving Walk page, we will send 80% to the charity of your choice. If not, we will send 75% but in either case the balance will all go to the Rotary Club of Romsey Test-supported charities (Please choose The Rainbow Centre!)
Course: The route is fully marshalled, patrolled and signposted at key points. There are toilets on the route also. Fitness Requirements You should be confident that you can walk your chosen distance. The route has a number of stiles and gateways plus some rough ground to negotiate. Medical Back Up The course marshals all have mobile phones and we have medical assistance on-site in the unlikely event of an emergency. Restrictions Walkers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs must be kept under strict control and on a short lead at all times.
