IPM Facilities Rejuvenate The Rainbow Centre’s Garden

2023 has been the eighth wettest winter on record and while we’re all eagerly awaiting the joys of spring and a little sunshine to cheer us up – no one has been waiting longer than the children we support at the Rainbow Centre who’ve been desperate to get outside and enjoy the garden.

Alas, with overrun slippery moss as far as the eye can see, splintery climbing frames and overgrown shrubs, our garden hadn’t weathered the winter well rendering it unsafe for our children to play. Hopeful of brighter days to come and just in time for the Spring Equinox a team of hero’s arrived…

A quick call to Sophie Marlow at IPM Facilities and a team of amazing volunteers were readied!

Steve and his landscaping team got to work straight away with a petrol-powered jet washer and plenty of other tools they set about transforming the garden. As the day came to a close, they had achieved so much but felt there was much more they could do to make a real impact for the Centre and families we support – they came back the following week armed with brightly coloured paint to truly bring new life to our garden and children’s playing area.

Steve and his team from IPM Facilities generously gave two days of their time to rejuvenate and bring new life into our garden. With newly painted rainbow-coloured playing frames, the children couldn’t wait to get outside and play – it’s safe to say that following all the teams hard work, it certainly received a big ‘thumbs up’ from the children

We are truly grateful to IPM Facilities for answering our call, their team of dedicated volunteers went above and beyond to make our garden once again a safe place for the children to play.

“Steve and his team have been incredible, we can’t believe what they have managed to achieve for us – we are so truly grateful! Each of them was so engaged, polite, dedicated and inspiring, an amazing reflection on IPM Facilities, they are an absolute credit to IPM Facilities.”

Charlotte Chandler, Head of Fundraising

“We are immensely grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to rejuvenating the garden at the Rainbow Centre after a challenging winter. Thank you to our dedicated team for making this transformation possible, and a big thank you to The Rainbow Centre’s staff for their warm hospitality.
