This past Saturday was a momentous day for the Rainbow Team as we had the pleasure of participating in two major events: the Fareham Community Showcase and the Inflatable 10K Run. Both events were filled with enthusiasm, community spirit, and significant accomplishments that we are thrilled to share.
Inflatable 10K Run: Bouncing Towards Success
First and foremost, we want to extend a huge round of applause to our fantastic runners who bounced their way through the Inflatable 10K. This unique event combined the challenge of a 10K run with the fun of navigating through a series of giant inflatable obstacles. Our runners showed remarkable dedication and enthusiasm, making the event not only a physical challenge but also a fun and exhilarating experience. Thanks to their efforts, we’ve raised a substantial amount of money to support our initiatives.
We were also thrilled to have teams from Medilaw and Novatech join us in the 10K. Their participation and support were invaluable, bringing extra energy and excitement to the event. A special mention goes to Fanni from our Children’s Service and our esteemed founder, Helen, who came out to cheer on our runners. Their presence and support were crucial, adding an extra layer of encouragement and camaraderie to the day. We cannot wait to announce the total amount raised – stay tuned for that exciting update.
Fareham Community Showcase: A Warm Reception
Simultaneously, the Fareham Community Showcase was in full swing, and we were overwhelmed by the warm reception at our stand. This event was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with the community, share our mission, and highlight the incredible work being done by the Rainbow Team.
We owe a huge thank you to our fantastic volunteers, Everline and BB. Everline, who volunteers at our Fareham shop, brought her enthusiasm and friendly demeanor, engaging visitors and sharing insights about our work. BB, our fundraising volunteer, was equally instrumental in making the day a success, demonstrating dedication and a deep commitment to our cause
Highlighting Community Heroes: Sarah’s Fundraising Efforts
In addition to our team, we want to recognise Sarah, a dedicated parent who has been tirelessly selling raffle tickets for her fundraiser. Sarah’s goal is to raise £10,000 for us, and she has been making significant strides at various events. Her passion and relentless effort are truly inspiring, and we are deeply grateful for her contributions.
